ABOUT US
I am Dr. Douglas Curtiss, a board-certified, Yale trained pediatrician. I have practiced general pediatrics in Connecticut for over 13 years and I have loved every minute. Some say that I love being a pediatrician because I get to say the same jokes over and over and the audience keeps changing. While this may be true, I find such joy in watching children and their parents grow together.
Over these many years I have noticed that we parents tend to get wrapped up in the day to day activities of parenting and sometimes forget to step back and look at how amazing our kids are. I must admit that when my own children were born, I felt overwhelmed sometimes. I can remember many sleepless nights when all my knowledge as a pediatrician would go out the window and I was just a nervous father. These experiences, added to all my training as a doctor, have inspired me to create this website.
I truly hope this website will become a community of empowered joyful parents who will make an incredible difference in the lives of our kids
